Cookies, Magnets, and More!

Things have been busy around here the past few days! Here's what's been going on!

Cayman and Ian helped me bake cookies Friday night. We used some new cookie cutters I bought in the Easter clearance section at Target. So we made "spring cookies" for our team at CFA to thank everyone for springing into action last week. They all worked so hard to prepare for the corporate visit. Ian's store is usually clean, but they basically did a deep, thorough cleaning EVERYWHERE. We wanted to thank them, so they all got cookies! At least we hope everyone got some...one of the teenagers that works there, Nelson, always talks like he eats all the baked goodies before anyone else has a chance to get their share! :)

He worked so hard helping me! But his favorite part was definitely eating the cookie dough while he was "helping" me with the cookie cutters... sneaky thing!

Cayman has also discovered, thanks to Aunt Judy, how much fun magnets are! In her center time package, she gave him five round magnets, and Cayman has had so much fun with them! He has discovered that a penny, a paperclip, and a twisty-tie can magically be picked up using a magnet!

Thanks Aunt Judy!

In my last post, I briefly mentioned my nap time woes. Since we've returned from our visit to see our family, the kids have not been napping well. Charis had gotten back in the habit of taking a short morning nap and then taking a long afternoon nap while Cayman took his. Well now... I have to threaten Cayman to take his naps (I know, some of you are thinking, "well maybe he just isn't tired!" and to that, I would reply..."but he is tired and he's not ready to drop his nap yet.") And Charis has dropped the morning nap again and is sleeping for an hour or two in the afternoon. Most days, she wakes up soon after the first hour. I'm so bummed! I love having that long break in the afternoons. When I don't get it, I tend to be really (sinfully) grumpy. I hate being grumpy!!! So now Cayman has been threatened and is sleeping. Charis has slept for 45 minutes and is now talking/whining in her bed. (She's not hungry and she doesn't need a clean diaper. SHE NEEDS A NAP!) :)

Anyways. Here's a pre-naptime picture. They're watching a praise-baby DVD (similar to Baby Einstein but set to praise and worship music). I love when they do stuff together! They're so cute with each other.
