This morning we packed up the van, and we left bright and early for Fayetteville. Why Fayetteville, you ask? Well, we discovered that this is the midway point between EC and Augusta. My parents offered to keep the kids for the week so that I can help Ian in whatever way I'm needed leading up to the GO. So, we drove 3.5 hours to Fayetteville, stopped at the only McDonald's in town with a play area, and waited for my parents to get there. (Either they drive REALLY slow or they make a lot more stops than us or mapquest was really off...) We had time to eat our lunch and let the kids play for a while before they got there. But it actually worked out perfectly. This McDonald's had been recently updated, so the play area was stinkin' amazing. I wanted to go play! But I refrained.
Anyways - we are so, so thankful that my parents were willing to watch the kids this week! I mean, how else would I get to go and wash dishes in the CFA kitchen all day tomorrow?! :) Whatever. It. Takes!
The kids were very sad to be leaving us. Or maybe they're just good at showing me their sad faces for a photo op. I'm not really sure which one... :)
