5 Year & 9 Month Checkups

Cayman and Callie went in for well visits at the same time this month! Everyone is doing great - so thankful for our healthy kids!!

Cayman weighs 40lbs now and is 3 feet, 8 inches. He hears excellent (listening is another story....) and has 20/20 eyesight.

Callie is 18lbs, 13oz and is 27.6 inches long. She is definitely a healthy, chunky little monkey! I brought up the fact that she is not mobile yet (trust me, I'm thankful for that!) just so the doctor was aware. No physical therapy yet but if she still is not moving around, pulling up or cruising by 12 months we will start some early intervention. (We went two weeks ago to the doctor, and she still is not crawling yet. But she is VERY close. My freedom is slowly dwindling away....)

Callie has four teeth and eats ALL the time. Like brother and sister. She has started showing distaste for some foods. She does not like peas and a few other veggies. She also doesn't care for cheese. I've had a hard time getting her to use a sippy cup. But the girl can eat her weight in bananas. And Chick-fil-A fries. She also loves the squeezable pouches of food. They're usually gone in close to 30 seconds. She also loves yogurt. And anything we are eating that's soft or mushy. We are working on sign language. So far she seems to understand "all done."

This month she has started waving too! She waves anytime anyone says "Hi" or "Bye bye!" We also discovered that "bubba" and "bye bye" sound alike! So she waves when she hears "bubba" too.

She still gets overly excited when she sees Charis and Cayman. And mommy and daddy always get very big smiles from her. She tends to be a little anxious around new people. But she has gotten a little better with that.

Everyone always says that she is the best baby. And we think so too! As long as she isn't teething or hungry (or worse-teething AND hungry), she is the happiest, most content little baby!

Little buddies!
