I see a lot of fun in our future!

I see a lot of fun nights ahead during the summer! Riding the boat down the river to our downtown area where we can moor the boat for free, hop out and walk to some yummy restaurants right on the river! Usually evening rides have a lot less bumps! So it's a lot easier on all of us :) Unfortunately, this evening was not the best for being out on the boat. We sat in the park for about 5 minutes before we started seeing lightning (far off in the distance). We were there for a total of 20 minutes before Ian and I decided we might better pack up and head home. The kids and I walked in the front door 15 minutes before it started pouring down rain! Ian stayed behind to secure the boat and cover it before it started raining. Unfortunately he didn't have enough time to cover the entire boat! He only got the smaller of the two covers on it before the storm was right on top of us. But at least we weren't all in the open water when it started storming.  Minus the thunderstorm, riding the boat into town is going to be so much fun this summer! I can't wait to do it again soon.
