Vacation Post 4

One of my best friends from high school and college, Motsy, and her family live in Kingsport, TN. Kingsport is three hours from Ivanhoe. So we decided that for the first time in a LONG time, we would meet up for some time together! We drove to Bristol to meet at a bounce house place. The kids all had fun getting rid of some energy on this rainy day. Of course we all had to find a Chick-fil-A for lunch! We had such a great time catching up - it made me wish we all lived closer together! I'm so blessed to have her friendship after all these years!

I was initially very worried about this vacation. Being so far away from "fun" things, not having restaurants nearby, etc. etc., all of those things made me a little concerned that this vacation was just going to drag by! Little did I know that this vacation was just perfect for us! We had so much fun with our family -- doing things that we would never normally get to do, trying new activities, resting, playing games, exploring, pretending...I could go on and on! I will now say that I would love to go back to our little cabin in Ivanhoe, VA. Get away from the hustle and bustle. Enjoy nature and the peace and quiet it offers. Spend time with our family. What a perfect vacation!
