A long, long time ago in a house on a tree-lined street in Augusta, Georgia, a mother accidentally put her silky granny panties in her teenage daughter's clean laundry. The teenage daughter picked up those panties in disgust, and she said, "Susan!" Oops, I mean, "Mom, these are clearly not my panties. I do not wear granny panties. YOU wear the granny panties in this house!" And the daughter gave the panties back to her mother. Obviously the mother was in denial because days later, the granny panties resurfaced in the teenage daughter's undergarment drawer! The daughter picked those yucky granny panties up out of her drawer using a pair of tweezers and carried them to her mothers bedroom, placing them in her mother's drawer - on top of all the other silky beige granny panties. You could imagine the teenage daughter's shock when the dern panties showed up on her pillow one day! The daughter decided to seek revenge and hung the panties on the mother's door knob one day while the mother wasn't home. And just like that, a war began.
Fast forward about 7 years - the daughter is enjoying a night with her husband in their first apartment. The newlyweds were hosting some of their friends for dinner. As the couple was leaving, the friend absent-mindedly picks up a coconut head the daughter brought back from their honeymoon. He lifts the top off the coconut head and embarrassment and shock registers on his face. He says, "I do not even want to know what's in there or why." The not-so teenage daughter can't imagine why in the world the friend would say something like that. She looks in the coconut head and immediately shock and embarrassment register on her face as well. The daughter is forced to explain the truth behind the granny panties to prove to the friends that she and her husband weren't trying to hide their friskiness by quickly stowing panties in a coconut head in the living room before the friends arrived!
Fast forward another 6 years, the daughter is opening the box of new storage containers the mother gave her for Christmas (2011). Imagine her surprise when inside the box, which had seemingly never been opened, the daughter found a pair of panties stuffed in one of the storage containers. No matter how many times these panties have been hidden and found, it is still a shock and joy to the daughter and mother whenever it happens. Because something as silly as a pair of panties reveals years of laughter and joy a daughter and her best friend have shared.
