Pluggin' Right Along

For the first time this week, both kids are napping. I'm caught up on all my rest (Charis hasn't been sleeping well at all due to congestion/coughing) because this morning she was up at 6:45 because of her coughing. I took advantage of that time and quickly changed her diaper, patted her back a few times to loosen things up, and laid her back down in her crib. I finally went in her room at 9:45 to check on her, and she was propped up on both of her pillows (Uncle Scott gave her a pillow pet for Christmas) reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." "Hey Momma" she said as I walked in her room, giving me a little wave. :) Ahh...things that make me oh so happy! Sleep AND a happy baby!

Anyways. I can finally get caught up on some things around the house and of course, my blog!

Any of you who regularly read my blog know that I rarely do this, but today, I'm so excited about a new product I just bought at Wal-mart that I just have to share! (And no, no one in their right mind would pay me to endorse any product on my blog; I truly am doing this because I'm so amazed.) Since we've moved into this house (we moved here at the end of July), there has been this stuff in our bathtub and surrounding wall. I'm guessing it's soap scum, but since I've never had anyone point to something on my wall and say, "This is soap scum," I'm not 100% sure. Either way, there was something on my tub that WOULD NOT come off no matter what type of product, no matter what kind of brush, and no matter how much elbow grease. I finally had given up on the stuff, thinking it was permanent and there to stay. Until today! I was almost out of the stuff I normally use to clean the tubs, so today at Walmart, the kids were entertained, and I was able to peruse the cleaning supply aisle, (as opposed to dashing through the store, quickly grabbing whatever I could as I ran by). I found this:

And I decided I'd give it a try since we have liked some of the other Scrubbing Bubbles products in the past. Let me tell you...my tub has never been this clean! All of the "permanent dirt" is GONE. No joke. I am highly impressed, and it will be a long time before I ever use another tub cleaning product.

However, it did do a number on my non-gloved hands. But never fear! I just quickly ran to my sink and did "Satin Hands" thanks to my best friends and their super Mary Kay products! My hand are as good as new!

And while I'm making plugs left and right, I may as well add that I'm almost equally excited about my new curtain liner in our bathroom as well.

Now all the junk that was crowding our tub and falling off on our toes in the middle of our showers all hang nice and neat on our curtain liner.
