Out with My Man

With my little man, that is!

Cayman and I met my cousin-in-law (I guess that's what she's technically called...I call her my cousin now, or my cousin's wife) and her son at the mall for a play date. (Allison and Julian are their names.) We met at the really fantastic play area inside the Augusta Mall. Best play area of any mall I've been to! It was a little crowded today - probably because of the super high temps outside! But they boys still had fun, and I sure enjoyed my mommy time with Allison.

But before we left, Cayman had to get ready for our big day!

He has become fascinated with putting on his makeup and today,
he found my bronzer and applied it...very generously!

The boys hardly played with each other - but they played nonetheless! There were so many fun things to crawl over, under, and on top of! Not to mention the huge tree in the middle that you could crawl through and under and slide down. It was a lot of fun.

The one picture I have of Julian...Cayman asked to take it.

Once it started getting close to lunchtime, Cayman got in the stroller and off we went! I stopped in the kids' clothing stores because Charis is in need of her winter wardrobe. (Can't believe it's almost that time again -- cooler weather: here we come!) I scored a few good deals at the Children's Place (50% off clearance, if you other mommies are wondering!) Then Cayman decided we needed to go on a lunch date to Chili's. (Ok, maybe I put the idea in his head, but then he agreed to it...)

We had such a good time - just me and my little man! It's no longer awkward to go out to eat alone with Cayman. You know how awkward it can be sometimes to sit alone at a table in a restaurant? Well, when you're with a child in a restaurant who isn't talking yet, it can sometimes be awkward - I mean, you may as well be alone, as far as conversation is concerned! :) But now, Cayman loves to talk. And he loves to pretend. And he loves to eat food. Especially french fries. Especially french fries dipped in mandarin orange juice! (Gag me...) Anyways. We had a special day out!

We went to my parents' church tonight for a monthly fellowship they have for a group called the "Young at Hearts." If you can't tell by the name, my children and me were by far in the minority...as far as age is concerned! :) We had a great time though. The seniors love having the kids there because they're so entertaining. They love how Charis screeches for more food, and how she just sits there and eats and eats and eats. And tonight, they thoroughly enjoyed watching Cayman dance to the gospel music being played by a young family. He was getting down with his bad self! :)

Graysan came to hear the gospel group too!
