I've been working with Cayman on learning and writing his letters. So far, he's learned to write A, B, and C. He can also write the C-A-Y in his name. He did well with the M, but it still needs a little work. :) He just wrote it on a painting we just sent in the mail to someone, but I forgot to take a picture of his letters. So...if you happen to get that piece of artwork in the mail in the near future, could you take a picture of it for me? :)
Anyways, I remember growing up that my mom had an ABC Bible Verse Memory sheet for my little brother and me. So I wanted to find something similar for Cayman and Charis to start using. I found a neat website online that I thought I'd share. It's called Impress Your Kids. There are all kinds of neat ideas throughout her blog/website about instilling scripture in your kids and making scripture a part of everyday life. But my favorite part (right now) are her Alphabet Scriptures. I'm not using all the same crafts for each letter. But it gives me a good start! Today, during Charis's nap, Cayman and I worked on the letter A. He enjoyed using the glue, and it was easy to start the conversation explaining what the Bible verse means. He also liked the motion I made up for the word "anger" (beating your fists together...boys!) If I can stick with this, I think it would be neat to put all of our pages together to make a book - one to learn the alphabet and memory verses!
