A Very Corry Christmas

One of my favorite events of the Christmas season is the Corry Christmas "Eve" Spectacular (or Extravaganza). We used to meet on Christmas Eve (hence, the name). But this year, someone finally suggested changing it to the week before Christmas. Thankfully, the old folks weren't so stuck in their tradition. ;) Only kidding! My mom's side of the family is very large - if we were all to get together, there would be over 60 of us! Some of the family was missing this time, so I would say that only 45 or so were in attendance. (Aunt Judy probably wrote down every person's name later that evening once things calmed down at her home and got an accurate head count - did I mention that her and Uncle Odel are the lovely hosts for this crazy event?) We always have a TON of yummy food, we get to catch up with everyone, and we have a fun gift exchange. Cayman and Charis even had a blast this year! I was afraid that they would be a little overwhelmed with all the people, not to mention we arrived just as they would normally be starting their naps. They got to play outside with all the kids, and they even got some gifts! They had a blast.

Caleb, my youngest first cousin (he's 15)

Me and Uncle Jake - we were each taking a picture of the two
of us at the same time - he was focusing a little too hard. :)

Charis and Aunt Betty - she did so well (most
of the time) about letting people hold her

Waiting to open presents!

Sweet cousins - I wonder when Cayman will actually get
the memo to smile for pictures??

Handsome Julian

My cousin Nathan - we drew his name and my
Aunt Patti told me that he LOVES Chick-fil-A.
He wore the hat and shirt the rest of the day!

Uncle Scott, "Great Aunt" Christine, and Charis
*Garrett and Graysan tried to talk Uncle Scott into
making Christine their real aunt, saying that she
would make a "great aunt."

Charis climbed right up on the couch beside Daniel, my cousin
Jana's husband.

My sweet family :)

Jason officiating the gift exchange. Ladies go
first, guys go next. It can get a little heated with
all the stealing! And this year, Aunt Judy threw
in a wild card - instead of drawing a number,
Scott drew a wild card. He could jump in and
steal whenever he wanted!

Listening to the rules - Jamie doesn't seem to happy about them!

The newly engaged couple - my little cousin Daniel and sweet
Haley. They're getting married Feb. 4, 2012.

Garrett took my camera around and took pictures of everyone -
starting with Graysan. :)

Joe and Jamie :)

No comment. :)

David and Jackson

McKenna (Jackson's big sister)

My cousin Jonathan

My brother Scott

All the kids singing carols

(Almost) All of the Cousins (we were missing four)
For some reason, someone said, "Let's all put our hands
on Alyson's head."

This one is much better :)

The newest additions (see picture below to see the plural...)
to the family! My cousin Seth and his wife Megan
had beautiful, healthy twin boys in November. This was their
first outing!
