Today, Callie is six months old!
(Is that as hard for you to believe as it is me?!)
She is such a sweet-natured, happy, easy-going baby. We are so thankful for the extra cuteness she has brought to our family. She is changing more and more each day! In fact in the past two weeks, it seems she has just changed into a totally different baby. Here is what she's up to now.
At six months old, Callie:
~ just started sitting unassisted for short periods of time
~ has tasted green peas, bananas and honey dew melon. (She loves green peas and enjoyed sucking the juice from the honey dew melon, but she didn't care for the bananas.) *scarfed down a container of carrots in one sitting today at lunch (5/9/13)*
~ still nurses every three-four hours
~ loves, loves, LOVES watching her brother and sister
~ swam in a pool for the first time last weekend
~ has finally started tolerating bath time
~ is wearing mostly 6-9month clothes (but is outgrowing that size in some brands)
~ loves playing with tags on toys
~ sometimes sleeps all night long and other times wakes up once to eat
~ takes two-three naps a day
~ has started using a pacifier
~ rolls over from tummy to back *oops! back to tummy (5/9/13)*
~ has survived her first double ear infection and cold (cough will not leave her alone....) :/
~ is developing some major chunky thighs :)
We go later in the week for her 6-month check up to get all her stats.
I seriously cannot believe that it was six months ago already that I started having the first of the "real" contractions that would lead to the birth of our sweet baby girl! We are so extremely blessed with all three of our children. I just wish they would all just SLOW. DOWN. and quit growing up so fast!
*Update* Callie weighs 16lbs, 5oz and is 23in long. Her head is a whopping 43cm in circumference. (Thankfully, I re-thought the "43in" I originally typed in. When I re-read the sentence, I said, "Wow. Her head circumference is larger than she is long. Wait a minute. That can't be right." Just in case you needed further evidence of mommy mush brain.)
